The firm and its activities
About 100 professionals – patent attorneys, attorneys-at-law, graduate engineers and scientists – currently work at Hoffmann · Eitle, exclusively in the field of intellectual property. The primary objective of our firm is to provide the best possible services to our clients by delivering top quality work. Emphasis is placed on personal counselling to address client-specific needs.
Our clientele includes a multitude of prestigious corporations, most of which Hoffmann · Eitle has been advising for years. These corporations have quite diverse expectations of us.
Globally active corporations consult Hoffmann · Eitle primarily about the prosecution procedures before the European Patent Office and the national patent offices in Germany or Great Britain. Being located both in Munich and London, the two patent centers of Europe, we are able to provide competent advice on the two most important (and intrinsically different) legal systems in Europe.
Hoffmann · Eitle, however, also offers its expertise in drafting opinions on the legal validity and infringement of industrial property rights. Moreover Hoffmann · Eitle is actively involved in many national and international infringement suits.
In the trademark field, Hoffmann · Eitle has extensive experience in searches and application proceedings as well as in opinion drafting and litigation, and has often taken its appeals as far as the European Court of Justice.
