Studied chemistry at the Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg 2002-2006 and the University of Bristol (Erasmus scholarship), graduated in 2006. Doctoral thesis in the field of bioinorganic chemistry on dynamic combinatorial chemistry of metal complexes for the detection of biomolecules (2010).
