Specialisation
Legal counselling and representation before the courts in all fields of intellectual property law (in particular in patent law, utility model law, and in design law), in licensing matters, in competition law, in matters of unfair competition, in general contract and commercial law, and in food law. Special expertise in advising Japanese enterprises on German and European law (also in Japanese) and European enterprises on Japanese law in all mentioned fields of law.

Career
Study of law and Japanese studies at the Universities of Marburg, Freiburg and Hirosaki (Japan). First juridical state examination in Freiburg, 2000. Master's program in law at Tōhoku University in Sendai (Japan), funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Japanese government, 2000-2002 (LL.M.: 2002). Research assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Foreign Private and International Private Law in Hamburg, 2002-2006. Doctorate in Law from the University of Freiburg, 2005. Legal traineeship in Hamburg and Tokyo, 2003-2005. Second Juridical State Examination, 2006. As Attorney at Law with Hoffmann ∙ Eitle since 2006.
