Chemical patents, principally litigation, legal opinions, opposition and appeal proceedings before the European and German Patent Offices and the Federal Patent Court, nullity actions before the Federal Supreme Court, as well as patent application proceedings. Numerous cases in SPC matters before the German Federal Patent Court, the Federal Supreme Court (Idarubicin, Sumatriptan, Pantoprazol, Anti-helicobacter preparation, Doxorubicin sulfate) and the European Court of Justice (C-392/97 - Farmitalia Carlo Erba s.r.l., C-31/03 - Pharmacia Italia). Particular expertise in the field of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, washing and detergent compositions, foodstuffs, polymers and electrochemistry.

Career
Studied chemistry at the University of Regensburg, graduated in 1981. Doctoral thesis in 1985 in the field of electrochemistry and battery development. Industrial experience in the research, development, and production of semiconductors (with Siemens AG), and printing inks (M. Huber GmbH). With Hoffmann · Eitle since 1987, German Patentanwalt since 1991, European Patent Attorney since 1992. Co-leader of chemistry group since 2009.
