Studied biochemistry at Tübingen University, experimental diploma thesis at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), Monterotondo, Italy, diploma in 2004. Doctoral thesis in 2008 at Freiburg University in the area of membrane proteins. Postdoc at The Rockefeller University, New York, USA, in the group of Nobel laureate Günter Blobel. Scholarships and awards from DAAD, Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds, Deutsche Akademie der Naturforscher Leopoldina and Pfizer. Several scientific publications, amongst others in Cell. With Hoffmann · Eitle since 2010.
