Examination, opposition and appeal proceedings before the German and European Patent Offices and before the German Federal Patent Court in chemical and pharmaceutical patents; litigation and legal opinions; numerous proceedings in Supplemental Protection Certificate matters. Particular expertise in paper chemistry, photochemistry, organic chemistry, especially in the pharmaceutical and agrochemical fields, and nanomaterials.

Career:
Studied chemistry at the Technical University in Karlsruhe with emphasis on organic synthesis, diploma degree in 1989. Ph.D. in biosynthesis reactions in plants (1992); research at the University of Hawaii in the area of the isolation and structural elucidation of anti-cancer drugs from marine plants until 1994. Scholarships from the State Graduate Sponsorship Program and the German Research Association (DFG); numerous publications. With Hoffmann ยท Eitle since 1994. German Patentanwalt since 1998, European Patent Attorney since 2001.
Personal:
Two children. Leisure interests include classical music (playing the piano) and hiking.
