Examination, opposition and appeal proceedings before the European and German Patent Offices as well as the German Federal Patent Court, among others in the areas of pharmaceuticals (including active principles and formulations), polymers and paper chemistry. Furnishing legal opinions on issues of validity and infringement of patents; national and international litigation activities, in particular in the field of pharmaceuticals.

Career:
Studied chemistry at the University of Cologne; Diploma thesis in physical chemistry (1992). Ph.D. in the field of colloid and interface chemistry and the determination of structures in microemulsions (1996); industry research projects in industry in the field of technical engineering (extractive distillation and catalyst research, in Germany) and pharmacology (pharmaceutical technology, in the USA). With Hoffmann ยท Eitle since 1996; German Patentanwalt since 2000 and European Patent Attorney since 2001.
