Main area of work revolving around patents in the field of mechanics, mainly litigation, both cross-border and national, opinion work, opposition, appeal proceedings as well as revocation proceedings regarding patents and utility models before the European and German Patent and Trademark Offices, the German Federal Patent Court and the German Supreme Court. Particular experience in the field of printing technology, automotive engineering, medical equipment, packaging technology, optical equipment, precision mechanics, measuring technology and construction engineering.

Publications:
Numerous lectures both in Germany and abroad, in particular regarding patent litigation, infringement issues as well as the validity of intellectual property rights.

German Patent Attorney Bar Association, EPI, AIPPI, FICPI, LES.

Career:
Studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich, graduating in 1969. German Patent Attorney since 1973, European Patent Attorney since 1978. Head of the mechanical department of Hoffmann · Eitle.

Leisure interests include literature and outdoor sports such as tennis, golf, cycling, skiing.
