Specialisation:
Intellectual property law, in particular patents and utility models in the field of mechanical engineering, opinions on the legal validity and/or infringement of patents and utility models, litigation in patent/utility model infringement cases, prosecuting cases before the European Patent Office, the German Patent and Trademark Office as well as the Federal Patent Court and Federal Supreme Court. Specific experience in the sectors of façade technology, paper technology and materials processing.

Publications:
Numerous papers also presented as lectures in Germany and abroad on intellectual property subjects.

Professional Memberships:
German Patent Attorney Bar Association, EPI, FICPI.

Career:
Studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University in Munich as well as at the Imperial College London with emphasis on materials processing. Ph.D. thesis and numerous publications in the field of physical adsorption. Joined Hoffmann · Eitle in 1994, German Patent Attorney since 1998, European Patent Attorney since 1999.

Personal:
Married, two children. Enjoys skiing, collecting art, and any activities together with his family.
