Career:
Studied physics at the University of Munich, especially the theory of electricity, magnetism, fluorescence by electron beam excitation and electron microscopy, graduating in 1952. Member of the patent department (phototechnical section) of Agfa-Gevaert AG in Munich from 1953 to 1987. In charge of the head office for patents and licensing at the phototechnical section of Agfa-Gevaert between 1963 and 1983. In the patent department at Agfa Leverkusen until 1986. European Patent Attorney since 1978. With Hoffmann ยท Eitle since 1987.

Personal:
Married, two children. Interests include traveling and music.
