Career:
Studied chemical physics at the University of Bristol, graduating in 1989. 1990-1997: Worked at the European Patent Office in Munich as a substantive patent Examiner in the field of measurement and optics. 1998-2002: Worked in an in-house patent department in the telecommunications industry in London, UK. 2002-2006: Worked in private practice in the Netherlands. Since 2002 has been a member of an Examination Committee for the European Qualifying Examination for European patent attorneys. In 1999 gained a post-graduate certificate in intellectual property from the University of London. Qualified in 2000 as a European patent attorney and in 2003 as a British attorney. Joined Hoffmann ยท Eitle in 2006.

Personal:
Married with 2 children. Leisure interests include climbing, cycling and reading.
