Hoffmann · Eitle is one of the oldest and largest European intellectual property law firms, with offices both in Munich and London, the two centers for patent law in Europe. The firm has more than 60 German patent attorneys, British patent attorneys, European trademark attorneys and European patent attorneys, all of whom have a broad basis of experience in their individual field, covering the entire range of technology. The firm further includes more than 10 attorneys-at-law specialized in intellectual property. Hoffmann · Eitle focuses on prosecution and litigation of patents, trademarks and other intellectual property rights. More than 30 technical specialists support the attorneys, with the firm employing a total of approximately 300 persons in both locations.

Since its founding in 1892 by Emil Hoffmann, our firm has been engaged continuously on behalf of our clients as experts in the area of intellectual property rights. With more than a century of experience and with our technical and legal expertise, we have in the past and will in the future represent our clients in all aspects of patent, utility model, design patent and trademark matters. The firm is also active in the areas of copyright law, media law, law on information technology, unfair competition, and domestic and European antitrust law as well as licensing. Hoffmann · Eitle represents clients not only before the European Patent Office and the national German and U.K. Patent Offices, but also before the national courts as well as in both instances of the European Court of Justice. Moreover we coordinate litigation in foreign courts throughout Europe and overseas.
