Provisional Injunctions Should Now Be Easier and Quicker to Obtain at Upcoming Trade Fairs in Hanover

The Regional Court of Braunschweig has announced that it will again be offering next year a stand-by service to hear provisional injunction cases during important trade fairs in Hanover. This Court is the only court with jurisdiction in the state of Lower Saxony for patent, utility model, design and trademark infringement cases. It is well aware from past experience that its services are in great demand at these times.

For this reason, the Patent Dispute Chamber of the Regional Court Braunschweig has decided to extend its hours during the following trade fairs

- Domotex (16- 19 January 2010)
- CeBIT (02- 06 March 2010)
- Hanover Trade Fair (19- 23 April 2010)
- IAA Commercial Vehicles (23- 30 September 2010) and
- EuroBLECH (26- 30 October 2010)

The service unit of this Chamber will be available at the following times:

Mondays to Thursdays from 6.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
Fridays from 6.30 a.m. to 12.00 noon.

Moreover, the Court will also be available in urgent cases at the following times:

1. Domotex
Sunday, 17 January 2010 - The Presiding Judge can be reached on the phone at 0170/1225638 from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon.

2. CeBIT
Friday, 5 March 2010 - The service unit will be available longer, i.e. until 2 p.m.

3. Hanover Trade Fair
Monday, 19 April 2010 - The Presiding Judge will be available as from 7.30 a.m.

4. IAA-Nutzfahrzeuge (IAA Commercial Vehicles)
Friday, 24 September 2010 - The service unit will be available longer, i.e. until 2 p.m.
Saturday, 25 September 2010 -The Chamber will be available on the phone from 10 a.m. to 12.00 noon.

5. EuroBLECH (International Sheet Metal Technology Fair)
Tuesday, 26 October 2010 - The Presiding Judge will be available as from 7.30 a.m.

The Court has also agreed to hold hearings in urgent cases during these trade fairs on the exhibition grounds in Hannover. This can be arranged in advance by telephone with the Presiding Judge of the Patent Dispute Chamber.
