In 2011, Simon Klopschinski, attorney-at-law in Hoffmann Eitle's Legal Department, completed his doctoral thesis on "The Protection of Intellectual Property under International Investment Treaties" (Der Schutz geistigen Eigentums durch völkerrechtliche Investitionsverträge).

For his thesis, Dr. Klopschinski was awarded the Faculty Award 2012 of the Alumni and Friends of the Faculty of Law at the Ludwig Maximilian University Munich. His outstanding work has been published by Carl Heymanns Verlag (available in bookstores and in the publisher's online shop at shop.wolterskluwer.de).

Moreover, a very positive review of Dr. Klopschinski's thesis has now been published by Prof. Christoph Schreuer in the Foreign Investment Law Journal (ICSID Review - 26 (2) (2011) 245). The review is available online at icsidreview.oxfordjournals.org.
