Hoffmann Eitle’s Chemistry and Biotechnology Group is made up of about 40 professionals, which makes it not only the firm’s biggest department but probably one of Europe’s strongest and most experienced private practice groups in the field of life-science IP in Europe. All members of the group hold a Ph.D. or Master ’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology or pharmacy. They deal extensively with prosecution and litigation in the chemistry and biotech fields, particularly in the areas of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, agrochemicals, foodstuffs, photochemistry and polymers.
