Career
Studied chemistry at the Technical University in Karlsruhe with emphasis on organic synthesis, graduated in 1989. Doctoral thesis in biosynthesis reactions in plants (1992); research at the University of Hawaii in the area of the isolation and structural elucidation of anti-cancer drugs from marine plants until 1994. Scholarships from the State Graduate Sponsorship Program and the German Research Association (DFG). With Hoffmann · Eitle since 1994. German Patentanwalt since 1998, European Patent Attorney since 2001.

Two children. Leisure interests include classical music (playing the piano), biking and hiking.
