Annuities
In order to uphold IP rights registered in member states of the Paris Convention, annuities have to be paid within certain time limits after application. At Hoffmann · Eitle, payment of such annuities is monitored and coordinated in our Tax Department by a team of specialists, who have been specifically trained for this work, under supervision of the responsible patent attorneys.
Using our own software, which has a full back-up system and which is continuously updated and further developed by our IT Department, we are in a position to make annuity payments for our clients worldwide. Examination and opposition proceedings for IP rights can be expensive, and maintenance and enforceability of IP rights can depend solely on the payment of annuities. Hoffmann · Eitle ensures that the payment of annuities is carried out effectively and reliably, giving this task their utmost priority. This is a reason why most of our clients entrust Hoffmann · Eitle with the critical tasks, such as the payment of annuities.
We presently coordinate issuance of reminders and payment of annuities for approximately 25,000 IP rights in over 200 countries, the number increasing annually. Owing to this large volume and the fact that our sophisticated computer system allows us to make direct payments in numerous countries without having to authorize local representatives, we are able to offer our annuity services at competitive prices.
