He has broad experience in private practice advising clients on the prosecution of patent applications before the European Patent Office (EPO) and the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO). His main work includes: drafting patent applications, examination, opposition proceedings before the EPO, as well as patentability and infringement opinions. He also has experience as technical expert in litigation proceedings before Spanish Commercial Courts. Angel has extensive experience in a wide range of technologies, with special emphasis in: power switches, power converters, aircraft structures, composites manufacturing, wind turbines, electric vehicle and medical devices.

Studied electrical engineering at the Pontificial University of Comillas – ICAI in Madrid, wherein he specialized in electronics. Before joining Hoffmann Eitle, he worked for one of the largest Spanish IP firms for over 20 years, where he was head of the electro-mechanical technology group. He is a member of the Examination Committee for the European Qualifying Examination at the EPO. Qualified as European Patent Attorney in 2010. With HOFFMANN EITLE since 2018.
