Specialisation
Since joining HOFFMANN EITLE, Charlotte has gained experience in patent work in a wide variety of technical fields within chemistry including organic, medicinal, and materials chemistry. She works primarily with examination and opposition proceedings before the European Patent Office.
Career
Charlotte studied chemistry at the University of Oxford which included a final year research project in medicinal chemistry (MChem, 2006-2010). She then completed a DPhil in organic chemistry at the University of Oxford with a CASE Award from Pfizer Inc. (2010-2014). Her doctoral thesis was focused on synthetic organic chemistry and methodology. Following this, she joined the Neuroscience Medicinal Chemistry Department of Janssen Pharmaceutica, Johnson & Johnson for two years. Her research has resulted in several scientific publications. Charlotte has been with HOFFMANN EITLE since 2017. European Patent Attorney, Chartered British Patent Attorney, and Irish Patent Agent since 2021.
