Chemist with a keen eye for detail and a love for patent law

Trained as a chemist and biochemist, Diana Marić has a great passion for all life sciences, especially for organic chemistry and synthesis. Diana’s technical expertise, she gained from her education, lies in small molecule chemistry and organic synthesis.

Working with a variety of international clients in the areas of pharmaceutics, crop protection, fluorine chemistry and metal catalysis, Diana specializes in prosecution and nullity proceedings at the German Patent and Trademark Office, as well as prosecution, opposition and appeal proceedings at the EPO.

Prior to joining HOFFMANN EITLE in 2016, Diana completed her doctoral thesis at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich investigating transition metal-catalyzed reactions. During this time, she authored more than 15 international scientific publications in the field of organometallic chemistry and presented her research on international conferences around the globe. 

During her research und study programs in the US and in Italy, Diana enjoyed getting to know different cultures and working with scientists from all over the world in highly interesting fields.

In her spare time, Diana enjoys playing and watching soccer as well as growing old tomato varieties on her balcony.
