Technical expertise in a wide variety of fields within molecular and cell biology, particularly in the areas of transcriptomics/genomics, short and long non-coding RNAs, and genome engineering. Practical experience in, e.g., design and application of CRISPR/Cas and TALEN systems, next-generation sequencing, genome-wide studies, bioinformatics, stem cells, cellular reprogramming, directed differentiation and various super-resolution microscopy techniques.
Studied biology at the Ludwigs-Maximilians-Universität Munich. Research internship at the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (SG) on aptamer development. Diploma thesis in the field of super-resolution microscopy (2011). PhD at the School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (SG) and Genome Institute of Singapore (SG) in the field of transcriptional regulation of non-coding RNAs in human pluripotent stem cells (2016). Scientific publications, e.g., in Cell Stem Cell and Nature Cell Biology. PhD scholarship from the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (SG). With HOFFMANN EITLE since 2017.
