Career
Studied chemical physics at the University of Bristol, graduating in 1989. 1990 – 1997: Worked at the European Patent Office in Munich as a substantive patent examiner in the field of measurement and optics. 1998 – 2002: Worked in an in-house patent department in the telecommunications industry in London, UK. 2002 – 2006: Worked in private practice in the Netherlands. From 2002 to 2012 was a member of an Examination Committee for the European Qualifying Examination for European patent attorneys. In 1999 gained a post-graduate certificate in intellectual property from the University of London. Qualified in 2000 as a European Patent Attorney and in 2003 as a British Patent Attorney. Joined HOFFMANN EITLE in 2006.
