Received his Master of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts in 1997, on a master’s thesis on the optical characterization of quantum dot structures. Received his diploma degree in 1999 and completed his Ph.D. thesis in 2002 at the Spectroscopy Laboratory of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in cooperation with the University of Heidelberg in the field of biomedical optics. In 2002 temporary analyst with Siemens Management Consulting in the USA. Training periods at the German Federal Patent Court and Civil Court in Munich. With HOFFMANN EITLE since 2002. German Patent Attorney since 2007. European Patent Attorney since 2011.
