What you can expect

  • Structured training to qualify as a German Patent Attorney and/or European Patent Attorney
  • Close collaboration with experienced patent attorneys and individual support throughout your training
  • Exposure to exciting and forward-looking developments in the field of chemistry
  • Hands-on, on-the-job training: From drafting and developing patent applications to communicating with patent offices in Germany and abroad, as well as supporting opposition, appeal and invalidity proceedings, you will gain insight into the various facets of the profession
  • The opportunity to spend 3 to 6 months during your training at our centrally located London office, which has around 40 employees

What sets you apart

As a Chemist
  • Excellent university degree in chemistry or a comparable field of study
  • Enthusiasm for current developments and innovations in your field
  • A high level of commitment and a passion for applying your scientific expertise in a practical, client-focused manner
  • Interest in combining science and law
As a Person
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex matters, analyse them thoroughly and communicate them with precision
  • Confident and polished manner
  • Excellent analytical and comprehension skills
  • Enthusiasm for working in an international environment
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills, ideally gained through an extended period abroad
  • Japanese or Korean language skills are an advantage, but not a prerequisite
