HOFFMANN EITLE welcomes new partner Ronak Kalhor-Witzel, strengthening its technology and strategic IP practice

HOFFMANN EITLE is further expanding its high-tech patent practice in Munich with the appointment of Ronak Kalhor-Witzel as a partner. A German and European Patent Attorney and UPC Representative, Ronak brings extensive experience in patent prosecution and litigation, as well as strategic IP advice for technology-driven companies.

With a background in physics, Ronak advises clients across a broad range of technologies on complex patent and IP matters including semiconductors, quantum technologies, medical technologies, autonomous systems, and digital technologies in the life sciences.  Her practice covers patent prosecution and opposition proceedings before the European Patent Office, patent litigation before national courts and the Unified Patent Court, as well as strategic patent portfolio advice.

A particular focus of her practice is agile freedom-to-operate (FTO) advice in connection with complex technology projects and transactions. Ronak advises clients on IP matters arising in M&A transactions and private equity investments, helping them assess and manage patent-related risks as part of broader business and investment decisions.

She also advises technology companies on emerging issues relating to AI governance. Her work in this area includes strategic advice on the IP implications of AI and the evolving regulatory environment for companies developing and using AI technologies.

Ronak also brings extensive experience working with clients and professional contacts in the United States and Canada. Her long-standing network in North America will support the continued development of HOFFMANN EITLE’s North America Hub and the firm’s international activities.
