Dedicated biotechnologist serving your IP portfolios

Nadine Renner is a trainee patent attorney in the Biotechnology practice group at HOFFMANN EITLE. With a background as a trained molecular biotechnologist, she specializes in prosecuting cases before the European Patent Office (EPO) and providing expertise in opposition proceedings. She is committed to assisting clients in managing and protecting their intellectual property portfolios. Her broad technical expertise spans biotechnology, protein chemistry and host-pathogen biology.

At HOFFMANN EITLE, Nadine appreciates the international environment and intellectual stimulation of working with diverse clients from industry and academia from around the globe – including Japan, the United States and Europe.

Nadine pursued studies in Molecular Biotechnology at Technical University Munich (B.Sc.) and Heidelberg University (M.Sc.), where she gained a profound understanding of biotechnology, recombinant protein production technologies and infectious disease mechanisms. Wanting to understand the molecular basis of virus-induced disease, Nadine completed her PhD in HIV research at the Medical Research Council Laboratory of Molecular Biology (MRC LMB), Pembroke College, University of Cambridge. During this time, she has made notable contributions to the field, publishing as a first author in scientific journals such as Nature Structural & Molecular Biology and PLoS Pathogens.

In her spare time, Nadine enjoys exploring Munich and its surrounding area, travelling to new destinations and good food.
