Mark Gallagher is a trainee patent attorney in HOFFMANN EITLE’s Chemistry practice group and is based in the London office. Equipped with a broad technical knowledge and a strong foundation in scientific analysis and problem-solving, Mark enjoys breaking down complex information and focusing on the specifics of each case. Mark works on cases spanning a range of technical fields, including pharmaceuticals, polymers, battery technology and biomass processing technology.
Prior to joining the firm in September 2024, Mark studied for his integrated Master’s degree in Chemistry at The University of Edinburgh, graduating with First Class Honours. During his degree, Mark gained experience in both academic and industrial settings, developing a strong understanding of core chemical principles whilst acquiring an interdisciplinary research background in materials development and green technology. His final year research project, completed during an industrial placement in Scotland, focused on the stabilisation of phase change material formulations for thermal energy storage applications.
In his spare time, Mark enjoys running, weight training and playing football. He is also a keen traveller.
