Naomi Adam is a trainee patent attorney in the Electrical Engineering and Digital Technologies practice group at HOFFMANN EITLE. She handles a broad spectrum of inventions but has a particular specialization in cross field technologies (e.g.: bioinformatics, biophysics, and artificial intelligence applied to chemical or biological systems).
Naomi’s enthusiasm for interdisciplinary innovation has been a constant throughout her academic (she studied physics, chemistry and biology) and professional journey. She earned an Engineering Degree from a program designed to provide a comprehensive foundation across scientific fields, which she completed with a thesis at Harvard University. She subsequently completed a Master’s Degree in biomechanics. Naomi then pursued a PhD at ETH Zürich, where she served as a key coordinator among the veterinary, biosensor, materials science and electronics teams. Her dedication to interdisciplinary thinking ultimately led her to the field of intellectual property.
Additionally, Naomi has gained a lot of experience in international environments, as she worked and/or studied in France, Austria, the US, Germany, Switzerland and Italy. During her free time, Naomi enjoys learning new languages and she also competes in powerlifting.
