Julia Hindges studied chemistry with a focus on organic chemistry, particularly bioorganic chemistry. Her research focused on the design, development, optimization, and synthetic application of enzyme catalysts, combining techniques from various fields such as molecular biology and protein biochemistry, protein engineering, organic chemistry, and process engineering. Her interdisciplinary experience enables her to understand her clients' goals in a broader context and advise them holistically.
She completed her training as a patent attorney at a large patent law firm in Düsseldorf, where she gained particular experience in legal validity and patent infringement proceedings and the strategic development of patent portfolios, as well as at the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf under the then chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Thomas Kühnen. She primarily advises clients in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
Before joining HOFFMANN EITLE, Julia Hindges completed her doctoral studies at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf at the Jülich Research Center. She is co-author of several scientific publications, which were produced in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute IAP, among others.
In her free time, she enjoys being active, especially swimming, yoga, and cycling, and spending time with family and friends.
