The linchpin between science, intellectual property, and the client’s interests

Christina Courrèges is a trilingual scientist (French, English, German) pursuing a career at the intersection between science and patent law.

She is an experienced and driven immunologist with a focus on cancer biology and immune cell signaling. She acquired her scientific knowledge over the last 10 years working at the University of Cambridge, the German Cancer Center in Heidelberg, and the Zurich University, where she developed critical and analytical thinking skills and a strong ability to tackle complex scientific problems.

Christina joined HOFFMANN EITLE with the eagerness to use her skillset and academic background to understand the needs of clients, and their innovations and applications, to best represent their interests and protect their intellectual property. As a qualified immunologist, she has extensive expertise in the fields of immune and cancer-related therapies, medical technologies, and biological therapeutics. She is part of the Biotechnology practice group and is currently training to become a German and European patent attorney. Her focus is on patent prosecution before the EPO, the drafting of new patent applications, and on advising clients around the world – including Japan, China, the United States, and Europe.

Outside of work, Christina loves to travel between her two home countries France and Germany, to deliver academic outreach activities to young students, and to organize international dance events.
