Specialisation
Since joining HOFFMANN EITLE, Adam has gained broad experience in patent work in a wide variety of technical fields within chemistry, including pharmaceutical chemistry, fluoropolymer and polymer chemistry, fine chemicals, and paper chemistry. He works primarily with examination, opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office.
Career
Adam studied chemistry at the University of Oxford 2003–2011, and wrote his Master's thesis in organic chemistry in 2007, followed by the GlaxoSmithKline funded doctoral thesis “Investigations of Methods for the Formation of Nitrogen-Carbon Bonds” in 2011 in the field of organic synthesis. He then held a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich from 2011–2013, and worked in the field of organic electronic materials. His research resulted in numerous scientific publications. Adam has been with HOFFMANN EITLE since 2013. European Patent Attorney since 2016. British Patent Attorney since 2017.
