Career
Studied biology and chemistry at the University of Heidelberg. Visiting student at SFSU/UCSF, San Francisco. State examination thesis at the German Cancer Research Institute, Heidelberg. Doctoral thesis at the Institute of Molecular Human Genetic, University of Heidelberg (1999-2003), focusing on the cloning of new genes involved in heart disease. Received scholarships from the University of Heidelberg and the State of Baden-Württemberg. Author of numerous scientific publications. 2004, post-doctoral fellow with Cancer Research UK, London, before joining the IP profession. Trained and worked with one of the UK’s leading IP firms. Obtained Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary College, University of London. British Chartered Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney since 2008. With HOFFMANN EITLE since March 2010 as attorney in the Biotech team.
