Career
Studied chemistry at the University of Göttingen with a focus on physical chemistry, graduated in 1988. Doctoral thesis on the kinetics and dynamics of gas phase radical reactions in combustion processes (1992). Postdoctoral fellowship awarded by the German Research Association (DFG); research at the Sandia National Laboratories, Livermore, CA in the field of atmospheric pollution mechanisms. Postdoctoral research at the ETH Lausanne in the area of heterogenous reactions in the upper atmosphere. With HOFFMANN EITLE since 1995. German Patent Attorney since 1998, European Patent Attorney since 1999.
