International Symposium 2026: Patent litigation in Japan, Germany and at the UPC - Munich, Germany
25 September
Since 2009, the International Symposium on Patent Litigation has been held six times, alternating between Munich and Tokyo, and is organized by leading patent offices, bar associations, and IP organizations from Japan and Germany. The 2026 edition returns to Munich and brings together judges, practitioners, and experts from Japan, Germany, and the Unified Patent Court (UPC).The program will address recent case law as well as key procedural and substantive issues, offering a comparative perspective on patent enforcement, patent validity, and cross-border litigation.
HOFFMANN EITLE partners Thorsten Bausch and Dirk Schüßler-Langeheine will take part in the program as moderators, guiding the discussions and exchange among the speakers.
