Particular expertise in the patent fields including prosecution and opposition proceedings before the European Patent Office, and in the technical fields of inorganic and organic chemistry (including LED/OLED, metallurgical process technology, materials science and alloy development), polymer chemistry, chemical engineering, analytical methods, printing technology as well as pharmaceuticals.
Studied at the Nagaoka College of Technology; engineer in a Japanese firm (1976-1984); studied chemistry at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich (1986-1992); doctoral thesis written at the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry (1996). Patent experience since 1997. With the German Patent Office, the German Federal Patent Court, and the District Court of Munich from 1999-2000. With HOFFMANN EITLE since 2002. European Patent Attorney since 2011.
